FAQ

What sets your program apart? Two Girls Tutoring focuses not only on grade improvement, but personal growth through academic confidence. Since we are still in school, we bring new ideas to the table and adapt to the post-COVID-19 education. Each tutoring session is crafted carefully to ensure your child is receiving content in a way that works best for them. We have found that our approach has fostered strong and loyal relationships with our students and parents.

What does a typical session with a Two Girls Tutoring tutor look like? While all sessions are specifically tailored to your student, we do have a few things we do every session. When the session starts, we make sure to ask your student if they have any homework or classwork they would like to work on with us or have us review. If they do not, we move onto the lesson we have planned for them. We pick activities for our students based on their learning patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Halfway through the session, we give our students a 2-3 minute brain break, so they can come back ready to learn! For the second half of the session, we continue to work on our planned activities. At the end of the session, we call in the student's parent to talk over what we worked on and any observations your child's tutor made during the session.
-
What resources do you provide for my student? We provide your student with sessions tailored to their learning patterns and curriculum. Every class, we provide practice worksheets, slides, or other enrichment materials. At your request, we can provide additional assignments for your student outside of their tutoring sessions.
-
What is the student-to-tutor ratio? Our tutoring sessions are one-on-one. One-on-one classes allow us to fully understand your student's strengths and weaknesses to create a program that works for them and provide a stress-free environment for your student to learn without the pressure of other students.
-
What supplies should students bring to sessions? Please have your student bring paper, a pencil, and any classwork or homework they are working on in class. If there is something specific we need your student to bring to a session, we will let you know at least 24 hours in advance.
-
What is your cancellation policy? Two Girls Tutoring parents are expected to cancel at least 24 hours before their scheduled session, otherwise you will be charged the full session fee. If there are circumstances beyond one's control, contact us and we will make an exception.
